South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) is the research arm of the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) and provides a range of services and research publications to primary producers, industries and organisations. The Molecular Diagnostic Centre (MDC) sits within SARDI and partners with the National eDNA Reference Centre to deliver specific diagnostic of high priority plant pests (HPPPs). The MDC has specific expertise in high throughput processing, DNA extraction and qPCR analysis of large environmental samples
